Project Description

SKA Development in conjunction with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) conducted fumigation training for a number of personnel in SKA Home Lodge in Mogadishu International Airport.  The training was conducted by two specialist Officers from AMISOM over 3 days in early April 2017, and will allow the individuals to carry out a wide range of pest control activities, which are so vital for hygienic living in a harsh environment.

Clive Trott – Head of Mission for SKA Development, stated that it was important for all staff to continually enhance and improve their skills and capabilities.  He also said that SKA Development was fully committed to capacity enhancement, of both its existing staff and potentially a new tranche of Apprentices it intended to take on in the near future in conjunction with the Ministry of Labour.

Those individuals successfully completing the course were:

  • Dominic Komakech
  • John Kinene
  • Stephen Nyonza
  • Yusuf, Adanan and Osman from the local community
